Kentucky Disaster Relief Update

Since the flooding of Eastern Kentucky a couple weeks ago, CrossNet Baptist Network has been partnering with Tennessee Disaster Relief in order to provide what assistance we could to the afflicted areas in Kentucky. Our shower/laundry trailer has been set up in one such community at Montgomery Baptist Church in Carrie, KY, and we have had Disaster Relief volunteers in Kentucky since the beginning. We are so thankful to the men and women who have dropped what they were doing or had planned to travel to Kentucky and spread the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Kentucky.

Words cannot express our gratitude or the heavy need facing Eastern Kentucky and the people who live there. You have been faithful to pray, serve, and collect donations for Disaster Relief, and the Lord is blessing our efforts and the efforts of the other volunteers from across the state and nation. FBC Whitesburg, pastored by Tony Brown, is right in the heart of the disaster zone, and we are sending all donations to it so that the leadership there can distribute the funds to their community that is in desperate need.

We are still taking donations, and we are still requesting volunteers. This week, our volunteers are Robert and Navada Rymer (Mount Carmel Baptist Church) and Tony and Joan Ownby (First Baptist Church- Cleveland). Next week, our volunteers are Jeff and Robin Wright and Debbie Fausch. Please keep them, and all the teams we will be sending in the coming weeks, in your prayers.

If you would like to volunteer or provide donations, call or stop by CrossNet Baptist Network at (423)476-5493 and 2707 N Ocoee St. You can also get in touch with Steve Weber at (423)593-8113.
