The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) announces the opening of the Fellowship for the Rapporteurship on the Rights of LGBTI Persons for the period from 2022 to 2023, which offers the opportunity to learn about and apply the protection mechanisms of the Inter-American Human Rights System in the area of the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, non-binary, gender-diverse and intersex persons.
The scholarship is aimed at legal professionals from OAS Member States: Antigua and Barbuda; Bahamas; Barbados; Belize; Costa Rica; Dominica; Dominican Republic; El Salvador; Grenada; Guatemala; Guyana; Haiti; Honduras; Jamaica; Panama; Mexico; Saint Kitts and Nevis; Saint Lucia; Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Suriname; Trinidad and Tobago.
The scholarship will have a duration of 11.5 months beginning September 1, 2022. During this period the selected person will receive a monthly stipend of US$3,200.00.
