Projects

• Bazel version 5.3 was released.

• nix-appimage can bundle a Nix derivation and all its dependencies into an AppImage. The tool builds on top of nix-bundle which creates single file, self extracting executables out of Nix derivations.

• Target Determinator was recently added to the bazel-contrib organization. It determines which Bazel targets have changed between two Git commits.

• BazelCon is scheduled to be held on November 16-17, 2022 at the Google offices in New York City.

• NixCon will take place October 20-22, 2022 in Paris.

• Bazel Community Update – Using Bazel for JavaScript Projects with Alex Eagle and Jason Dobies describes the JavaScript rule ecosystem for Bazel.

• Bazel eXchange, an online conference about Bazel hosted by Skills Matter, took place on the 21st and 22nd of June 2022. Recordings of the talks are available online (login required).
