looks a bit different in the USA than it did in Papua New Guinea. Suburbs, pavement, cool cars, sidewalks, and American trees and lakes provide comfort and visual stimulation on our morning runs. We don't have to keep our eyes on the rocky, dirt road beneath our feet like we do in PNG.
But we've also been impressed with the steamy heat found in the central and eastern USA this summer! We're rarely drenched in sweat in the highlands of PNG like we are after a 2-mile run here.
We miss our rural, tropical highlands home, but we're also grateful for the beauty and variety found in the great outdoors here in the USA, whether in the city or the country.
