West Virginia's newest and most prestigious scholarship - the Underwood-Smith Teachings Scholars Program - helps recent high school graduates pursue rewarding careers as West Virginia teachers in the fields of math, science elementary education or special education. Students can receive up to $10,000 per year to pay for eligible college expenses, including tuition and fees, room and board, and textbooks. Up to 25 new scholars are accepted each year.
