Cokesbury Kids: Back to School
Cokesbury Kid’s Ministry had an exciting summer, learning about a different Fruit of the Spirit each week. We explored stories where characters in the Bible exhibited these fruits and talked about ways they can be a part of our lives. The kids had fun with play-doh, painting, and even playing on a bounce house as they learned about joy!
Thank you for inviting children you know and the amazing volunteers who share God’s love with these kids. The canned fruit drive netted 298 pounds for Manna Food Bank. Thank you, church and Children’s Center, for participating alongside the children’s ministry!
Jennah Bryant has been a fantastic asset to sharing God’s love with the children and adult volunteers this summer. We wish her the best as she goes back to college. Jennah is going to be a fantastic teacher when she graduates! Thank you, Jennah!
As I write this, many of the children in our local schools are just starting their first day in their new classrooms with new teachers and, yes, new school supplies! In my cousin’s picture on the first day of 1 st grade, he had to get a view from the side to emphasize his new backpack. Thank you for contributing supplies for Holm Elementary as they strive to keep kids safe and healthy.
Our Kids Night Out program continues weekly on Wednesday nights. We will have an official Fall Kick Off on August 24 to coincide with the beginning of the Growth Journey for adults. Beginning August 24, the Kids Night Out’s start time will shift to 5:45 PM to match the other Wednesday evening ministries.
Don’t hesitate to contact me ( kathy@cokesburychurch.com) if you want to get plugged into supporting our children’s ministry.
Sincerely,
Kathy Minor
