Compassion & the Practice of Chenrezig

Rachel Parrish teaches live in Chicago

Generating compassion for oneself and others can help open the heart, curb negative actions, and reduce ego-clinging. These teachings will provide in-depth guidance on how to bring compassion to your daily life, and how to cultivate compassion through the visualization and mantra practice of Chenrezig (Sanskrit: Avalokiteshvara).

  • Friday, August 12, 6:30pm: Community potluck dinner
     
  • Saturday afternoon, August 13, 1-5pm: Transmission of the visualization practice of the Bodhisattva Chenrezig (in-person only)
     
  • Sunday morning, August 14, 10:30am-12:30pm: How to practice compassion (also available online via this link)
     
  • Sunday afternoon August 14, 1-3pm: Guided Chenrezig practice, Q&A (in-person only)

Suggested Donations:
  • $30 per day
  • $60 for the entire program
  • A voluntary donation to support the teacher can be made separately.
  • Everyone is encouraged to attend regardless of ability to pay.
