Reflection in Practice (Session 2)

Tuesday 6 September 2022 • 11:30 am to 12:30 pm AEST

Reflection in Practice sessions are informal discussion spaces for participants in the Intersectionality Series.

It’s an opportunity to ask each other questions, exchange perspectives on the previous sessions’ content and workshop ideas for applying intersectionality in your organisation’s gender equity, diversity and inclusion work.

In this Reflection in Practice session, we’ll reflect on the questions that we tried to answer in Session 2: Introduction to ethical data collection:

  • What kinds of data should we collect and why?
  • How can we maximise participation, minimise invasiveness and be respectful in our data collection?
  • How should we communicate the value proposition for disclosing personal data?
  • What are some of the ethical and legal considerations around collecting diversity data?
