Ledbury LEAF - support for well-being

LEAF, the charity run by the churches working together in Ledbury, is supporting numerous members of their community through their activities and volunteers.  The LEAF chaplaincy service has become an integral part of the doctor’s surgery in the town, with some of these referrals going on to receive counselling from one of the LEAF counsellors.

LEAF held two highly successful family events in the local park over the summer, with over 150 burgers served free to the many who attended.  They also support children in the community through weekly mentoring of children in the Ledbury Primary School, which will be starting again this month.

If you want to know more about these and other projects run by LEAF in Ledbury, particularly if you are thinking about volunteering with them, please email: leafledbury@gmail.com
Use this email address too, if you want to be on their mailing list for regular newsletters.
Hereford Men's Mental Health Group
September 10th is World Suicide Prevention day.  As churches and Churches Together groups, we may be aware of men in our communities with depression or mental ill health who might be reluctant to approach support services.  Hereford Men’s Mental Health group is an informal, non-judgemental space where people can socialise with others who have faced depression, addiction, loneliness or other challenges.
If you know any men who may benefit, ask them to get in touch at HMMHgroup1@gmail.com or text the group co-ordinator on 07376 727280.  Visit the website to find out more.

Season of Creation - resources for Harvest

The Joint Public Issues Team (The Baptist Union, Church in Scotland, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, working together for peace and justice), have put together resources for Creationtide, Creation Time or the Season of Creation – the name given to the period from 1 September to 4 October.  Churches are encouraged to have a focus on creation, with all the joys and responsibilities that being part of God’s creation brings to us.  To access the range of resources available, follow this link.
Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer
