The 9th Annual Texas State Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition is coming this October! The 3MT® is a research communication competition in which graduate students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis/dissertation research and its significance. Students in a Ph.D/Ed.D or a master’s thesis track are eligible to compete and can win cash awards in the preliminary and final rounds. This competition is an exciting opportunity to share your research, gain presentation experience, win awards, and more! Learn more at our 3MT® webpage where you can view presentation rules and judging criteria, tips on preparing for your presentation, and videos of previous 3MT® winners.
Registration to compete opens Monday, September 12 and closes Monday, October 3.

Program Overview: provides opportunities to conduct dissertation research at DOE laboratories for 3-12 consecutive months
Eligibility: full-time doctoral students who are in candidacy (at the time of application) and conducting research aligned with the DOE Office of Science priority research areas
Citizenship: U.S. citizens and permanent residents
Benefits: living stipend (up to $3,600 per month) while at host facility, plus transportation expenses (up to $2,000)
Deadline: November 9, 2022
