From the Leadership Team
Hello GIM! We are a mere ten days out from our first Division-wide strategic planning meeting since 2019. We are so eager to be back together in person with all of our Division members. Please take a second to RSVP to the calendar invite if you have not done so already. In addition to our strategic planning work, we will take a Division photo, have a pager collection station, host the WellDOM Cart, and build more of that GIM community we have all been missing. Hope to see you there!
*A special shout-out is in order for our HR team who on-boarded twelve new faculty and staff this month. Scroll down to meet all the new GIMers!

Clinical Operations Corner
Monthly updates on Primary Care Clinical Activities
by Rob Doolan
Everyone should have received the new productivity report this month. Thanks for the initial feedback you sent me regarding the report! We will continue to work to improve the reporting with your suggestions guiding that process. I recommend you read through the document that was attached detailing each column. It is important to understand we are doing cFTE adjustments, rather than just crediting time, for FMLA, sick days, and GIM Grand Rounds. We will also be crediting time spent on our upscoming asynchronous work pilots in a similar manner. It is importnat to make the adjustment this way so the wRVU target also gets adjusted appropriately for any asynchronous work time. The pilots are set to go live October 1, 2022 across all of our clinics. We need to develop a clinic schedule that is sustainable for all of our clinicians and allows the time necessary to take care of our patients optimally. These pilots will hopefully result in new templates and expectations for how we provide excellent patient care. Thanks to all those who volunteered for Phase 1!
Palliative Care Days 2022 are right around the corner! This year's Keynote Speaker is Dr. Ronit Elk, Professor in the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Care, Department of Medicine, University of Alabama, Birmingham.
