Reception to view the new West Recreation Center Art
The judges have chosen the final works from sixteen submitters to be used as decoration in the West Rec Center. They will all be enlarged to a size that is in harmony with their display space, and have placards displaying the title of the piece, the artist, and their contact email.
There were more than a hundred submissions that they chose from, with many beautiful works not chosen because of the limited number of display sites.
Getting these prints made on canvas, attaching them to rigid backing, and making custom frames to fit them for display will take several weeks. There will be a free reception in the West Rec. on Thursday September 15th from 7 to 8:30 pm. with wine and chocolate, (sponsored by the Oakmont Art Association) to thank all those Oakmonters who submitted their works, and to have time to leisurely view the works. The reception will be open to any Oakmonters who want to see the works.
Meanwhile, a selection of them is shown below.

Anyone want one or more small artwork easels that need a new home? The Symphony League, (Julia is president), has approximately 22 of these they are giving away, but a small donation would be aprreciated!. They fold up and would be ideal for a tabletop display of works. They are approximately three feet tall by two feet wide.
If you would like one or more contact me by email, docsevo@me.com.
