GRADUATION CELEBRATION FOR CHRISTINA!
Our precious Christina graduated on August 7th! We were so blessed to be able to gather her family, friends, supporters and so many of those that have walked along this journey with her for the past year to join in the celebration. Christina shared at the graduation how proud she was that she had finished something. She has worked hard to accomplish her goals and she gives the Lord the glory for ALL of it! She is a self proclaimed Sanctified Hope "Lifer" and is continuing with us in our After Grad program. Christina's goal is to finish Dental Assistant School with Weatherford College and looks forward to beginning her career. Way to go, Christina! We are SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
We had 4 ladies that declared to the world that Jesus is the Lord of their lives through the step of obedience through baptism this month! We were blessed to join Trinity Bible Church at their Splash Kingdom Family Bash and celebrate the ladies being baptized together. What a fun night! Congratulations, Christina, Renee, Lisa and Tanya! Jesus looks good on you!
Our newest participant, Lisa, celebrated her birthday in August right after her arrival here at Sanctified Hope! It was great to welcome her here with a small birthday celebration and gifts to let her know she is loved and cherished!
We had 2 participants finally able to achieve getting their license this month! We were so excited at this accomplishment for both of them. Congrats, Melissa and Lisa! Now time to find you some cars!
Lisa and Tanya started Weatherford College this semester! We are so excited to see them stepping into their future and the plans that God has for them. Lisa is in the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counseling Program and Tanya is looking to become a Veterinary Technician. You will do great ladies!
Renee got a car!! We are so excited when we see these ladies have these victories in their lives that may seem so normal to you and me, but they are HUGE to these ladies! They work so hard to get a job, save up their money and start earning towards their goals. What a huge blessing it is to see them step into the future that God has for them!
Our church of the month was the First United Methodist of Weatherford. They have collected enough money to be able to sponsor THREE ladies. Tanya was the first lady to receive a sponsorship from them. As we visited, she was invited to share with their congregation. She shared from her heart just how thankful she is to be able to be here at Sanctified Hope. This was made possible because of the generosity of the church. Our VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH for AUGUST is Janet Duvall! We want to honor Janet this month because she does SO MUCH for Sanctified Hope. Many do not know but Janet is not only the board chair for Sanctified Hope, but is also the founder of the ministry. She does not have a paid position with us, but believes so much in what God is doing here and what God has called HER to do here that she gives her time freely every day to this ministry and these ladies. Thank you, Janet. We could not do what we do without you!

As our month began with baptisms and a graduation celebration, I believe that this can easily be claimed as the theme for the month of August here at Sanctified Hope. Many of our current participants are at a place in their program where they have transitioned back into society and are working, going back to school, visiting with their families and truly starting that process of re-entering society. This is what Sanctified Hope is all about. Our program is titled: Re-Entry, Re-Store, Re-Integrate. But here at Sanctified Hope we believe that it is about so much more than that...it is about letting the world see the light of Jesus in you. THAT is what we are called to do in this world. Once people can see Jesus in us, we can SHARE Jesus with them and we can Glorify God through all of it.
I thank the Lord that we GET to see the restoration and transformation in these ladies lives on a daily basis...and that we get to see them SHINE THEIR LIGHT!! Thank you for coming along on the journey with us too. Isn't it such a blessing?
