Full Preaching Schedule
Praise the Lord! I (Ben) have a full preaching schedule ahead for this month of September. I will be preaching every weekend at two different churches. One in Kaohsiung and the other in our home city of Taichung. The church in Kaohsiung will be a Chinese-speaking audience. The church in Taichung will have a mixed international gathering of people. I will be preaching in English, but my sermons will be translated into Chinese, Korean, and Indonesian. Preaching the Word is one of my greatest joys! It thrills my soul to have the opportunity to teach and preach gospel truths and exalt Christ to people from different nations in Taiwan.
Students & Jesus’ Parables
We live near a prominent school called Tunghai University. We have always had a desire to reach the college students, however, on-going, stringent COVID lockdowns prevented our plans to make inroads into the campus to meet students. So we resided ourselves to pray for future opportunities and reach nearby areas instead—until now! Recently, God made a way into the campus.
During our time here in Taiwan, we made friends with a teacher at the university. Through that connection, an opportunity to reach college students with the gospel directly has opened up. A professor at Tunghai is looking for missionaries to come and teach about Jesus’ parables to his students. We are eager to fill this role! Our original plans may have be thwarted, but we praise God that His plans can never be hindered (Ps. 33:10–11; Isa. 46:9–10). Our God is in the heavens and He accomplishes everything He pleases (Ps. 115:3).
