Devastating floods in Pakistan have killed over 1,100 people and left millions homeless. Caused by record rains and melting glaciers triggered by climate change, the floods have left one-third of the country––an area the size of the UK––under water, and damaged more than one million homes and two million acres of crops.

GoFundMe has set up a hub of verified flood-relief fundraisers, overseen by its Trust & Safety team. The hub also explains how those with friends and family in Pakistan can start their own individual fundraisers.

If you can afford to, donate to one of the fundraisers listed on the GoFundMe hub linked above.

📣 Pakistan's share of global emissions is disproportionately low, yet it's one of the countries most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. To seek justice for places like Pakistan, Fridays For Future will return for a global climate strike on September 23rd. The movement, founded by Greta Thunberg, hopes to secure financial redistribution from nations that have historically profited at the expense of areas now most affected by extreme weather.
