Dear Friends,

     Well, I just finished watching yet another zoom presentation, and while it was lovely, I can't help thinking about how much it means to me that we have reopened CSL Carlsbad for in-person Sunday gatherings.  There are amazing books, lectures, courses and articles that are available to us all right in our homes now, but to actually have the opportunity to be "together" with each other, is really a blessing!  So I want to thank everyone who has been coming to the Woman's Club on Sunday.
      But, I also recognize that some people are still hesitant to meet with other people in a group due to their concerns about the "lessening, but still ongoing" pandemic.  In fact, Larry and Elaine have asked me to share that they tested positive for covid-19 on Tuesday, making it possible that they may have had it last Sunday morning.  Larry wanted to be share their status so that anyone who was feeling under the weather, might consider getting a test done. I am grateful to Larry for sharing - not just because he was concerned for others - but also because as a Religious Science Practitioner, he is setting a good example of not pretending things are the way we want them to be, but of making the effort to "Treat and move his Feet," in order to harmony and health in his world.
     August has been a good month.  I love teaching about Treatment, and when I teach, I learn too.  The three mini-workshops turned out very well, and Rev. Maurene and I want to continue this week on the same theme, but instead of a workshop, we will just be happy to do some Treatments and  "tutoring about treatment" after Fellowship.
     Hope to see you this Sunday in person - but if you can't visit with us in person, please do check out our YouTube channel offerings...  Our Love and Good Intentions are never limited by time or space... Spirit is Infinite, Eternal, and All-encompassing, and each of us is Spirit individualized as one beautiful being ready to experience Good in the Highest Ways.

Notes from Rev. Maurene...

This month we have been discussing the ideas in "Treat Yourself to Life" by Raymond Charles Barker, and the importance of Spiritual Mind Treatment in creating a new consciousness of health, prosperity, loving relationships and creativity.  After Fellowship we will be available for Treatment and also encourage you to bring us any questions about how to do a Treatment yourself.  

This Sunday I will be talking about Treating Yourself to Freedom.  Ernest Holmes defines Freedom as the ability to do, say and think as one wishes; to express life as one personally desires.  He said that "As man realizes his Oneness with Creative Mind, he is released from bondage of false thinking.  Real Freedom means we are created in the image of perfection and let alone and allowed to make the discovery for ourselves."

So how do you realize your unity, your oneness? Raymond Charles Barker says, "Your good, your joy, your happiness starts at the center of you, comes up through the layers of patterns in the subconscious mind, comes through to the surface in a creative and valuable way upon your recognition of it, and upon your demand that it shall be done.  Through treatment, the divine pattern comes to the surface of your conscious mind, and causes your to expand your good."   My affirmation for this week is: "I ACCEPT MY GOOD NOW."

Ernest Holmes teaches that practicing the principles of Science of Mind will guide us in discovering the truth and claiming our divine inheritance.  Prayer, meditation, affirmation or practicing spiritual mind treatment leads us to revelations of universal truths and awakens the divinity within.  We are whole, spiritually perfect and divine beings.  In continuing our practice we embrace our highest good.

Great minds think alike! Rev. Maurene and a few other people have suggested that we ask people to donate their "extra" metaphysical books to CSL Carlsbad and then we could sell them at our book table. If you don't have extra books, then you'll enjoy shopping all the more!
 It's a super-easy casual fund-raiser for us that will have the ADDED BENEFIT of putting these books back into circulation at a lower cost to the new owner.

My affairs are in the hands of One
     Who guides the planets in their course,
     And Who causes the Sun to shine.
Divine Understanding attends me on the Way,

I know that all that I do is done from the One Motive:
     To express Life; and Life will be expressed
     In and through me.  I cannot hinder it.
 

God is All, both visible and invisible.
One Presence, One Mind, One Power is All.
This One that is All is Perfect Love and Perfect Abundance.
I am an individualized expression of God;
I am ever one with this Perfect Life, Perfect Love and Perfect Abundance.

"I am the individual that the creative process intended me to be.  Therefore, creative ways open before me."
