A great summer to enjoy a parade!

It was so much fun to participate in and see everyone that came out to watch the Triple S Fair and Rodeo parade in Selkirk and the
Icelandic Festival of Manitoba "Islendingadagurinn" parade in Gimli!

Thank you to all that participated
in our Silent Auction Fundraiser
We, at the RRBC, also want to share a sincere thank you to Earl Simmons. Although he is no longer with us, we are so grateful for his generous donation of the Red River Valley Trade Route photographic art. We are pleased to be able to fulfill his wishes of using this donation to raise funds towards water education and water quality.
We are also very pleased to share that
the proceeds received from the sale of this photo

Netley Marsh Renewal Project Monitoring
|
|
We are continuing to monitor the construction achieved in our
first phase of the project. In 2022, we have had significantly higher water levels compared to the conditions during our construction in 2021.
Our monitoring has shown definite vegetation changes with these water level fluctuations. Throughout our vegetation monitoring, we measured water depth, plant density, plant composition, plant height, signs of stress on the plants and captured the vegetation changes in drone imagery.
We continue to aim to grow our successes in helping
to protect the Netley Marsh for us and future generations!
We want to give thanks to our partners and funding partners
that are bringing success to this exciting project!
The Netley Marsh is a crucial piece in keeping Lake Winnipeg healthy. We must all do our part!
Visit us at our Save Netley Marsh website
for all of our news and project updates!

Our Indigenous communities, within the Lake Winnipeg Basin area, have unique perspectives and different experiences surrounding water quality and water management.
As we understand, water is sacred.
The RRBC believes in the critical importance of partnering with First Nations and Tribal communities to share perspectives and work on common goals. Visit our website, by clicking on the button below, to learn more about our One Basin One Governance project!
