                       RIP Mike!

Michael J Dumias, a long time figure aboard Little Sister, passed away earlier this week: https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/legacyremembers/michael-dumais-obituary?id=36335707
His passion was jig fishing for blackfish and he was the one who first brought jigs aboard in 2010. He forever changed the way we fish for tog!
Mike will be missed by many but none more than his daughter Gabby....

The fishing this week has been very interesting with mahi in the mix for both inshore and offshore fishing. Many of the sea bass have been outright beasts and the sea bass season closes on September 4th so it is time to get your last licks in! The boat is booked pretty solidly but there are still a few openings for the last inshore open boat (during sea bass open season) on next Thursday (09/01, 7am-noon, $150/person).
After that, the primary focus of inshore open boat trips will be blackfish (TOG!) at least through November. Like with the mahi, we have rods "at the ready" for casting to blues, bass, bones and albi's whenever the opportunity arises. The next few weeks (to early October) are "that time of the year".
Speaking of stripers, "The Package Deal" (both the 4am-7am bass casting in The River AND the 7am-noon inshore open boat trip (by reservation only, $225/person) will be available on:  09/08, 09/15, 09/22 and 09/29.
Above with mahi we have: Sam, Jim,  then Luke and Jake (then Dan)
With a nice "slot cod" on Tuesdays trip we have Max

Yes the mahi are small! But they sure are purdy... And great eating.  As long as the surface water temps stay at or over 72F we should still be able to catch them on any high flyers more than 6 or 7 miles offshore. Coincidentally, a great deal of the current sea bass fishing is just around that range out there.

The only Coxes Ledge Trip left on the schedule with openings is September 6th, 6am-1pm ($200/person).

As always, please be sure to include your name and phone # when emailing/scheduling.

Thank you!
