Tak£500+ Participatory Budget Fund
|

Community groups within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area can now receive up to £1000 for a project that they think will have a positive impact on their community thanks to the Tak£500+ Participatory Budget Fund.
Both constituted groups and non-constituted groups can apply for funding to help bring an idea to life. All ideas must be based around the ‘Take 5 Ways of Wellbeing’, which are five simple steps to help maintain and improve your wellbeing on a daily basis.
To help you with stage one of the process and filling in the initial application form, there are a number of information sessions taking place both in person and online:
- Monday 12th September, 7pm – 8pm: Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre.
- Wednesday 14th September, 7pm – 8pm: Palace Demesne, Armagh.
- Thursday 15th September, 7pm – 8pm: Banbridge Leisure Centre.
- Tuesday 20th September, 10am – 11am: Online via Zoom.

Financial Assistance Programme

REMINDER
Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council is offering financial assistance to eligible groups, in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector for the period 1st December 2022 to 31st March 2023 for revenue grants and from Letter of Offer date to 31st March 2023 for Small Capital Grants.
Applications are currently open and will close at 12 Noon on Friday 16th September.
Should you require assistance from Sport Development with your application, this should be requested with Eimear Haddock at eimear.haddock@armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk at least one week prior to the closing date.

This grant programme is for registered charities, registered community interest companies, unincorporated clubs or associations or unregistered charities with a turnover of less than £300,000. Grants are available for up to £2,000.
The KFC Foundation welcomes funding applications from organisations which:
- Benefit young people aged 11-25 years old.
- Supports those in a position of economic disadvantage (including one of the following: care leavers, those experiencing homelessness, young carers, young parents, refugees, young people at risk of or with experience of the criminal justice system).
- Empower young people to fulfil their potential and build a positive future by providing spaces that allow young people to feel safe and secure, helping them to unlock talent, build life skills, provide mentoring and improve their chances to gain meaningful employment.
- Are local to a KFC restaurant
- Will demonstrate positive results from their project within 12 months of our funding being received
There is a two-stage application process. Applicants must first submit a two-minute video about their organisation, along with an expression of interest form, before submitting a full application.
The deadline for applications is Monday 26th September.

Walking Football sessions will re-commence on Tuesday 6th September from 5pm - 6pm at Havelock Park, Banbridge. The cost is £16 for the eight week block.
Walking Football is a slower paced version of the game with the same rules except no running! The sessions are suitable for anyone aged 18+.

Try a new sport or learn new skills as you run, jump and climb your way around Solitude Park, Banbridge under the watchful eye of a qualified Parkour Coach.
Parkour (also known as Freerunning) is a high-energy, action-packed urban sport that involves getting from one point to another in the most fluid way possible. Participants (Traceurs) use running, jumping, climbing, and a vast array of specialist movements to overcome obstacles while building strength, power, fitness, and endurance.
