Let your work speak for itself. If you have to speak of your work, you haven’t worked hard enough.

Failure: It doesn’t define you!

Failure quote

Failure is a part of life, but it doesn’t have to define you. If you focus on what can go wrong, you’re more likely to make it go wrong. Instead, successful people strive to move on. They learn from their failures and use that knowledge to create a better future. They don’t dwell on their mistakes because they know that doing so will only hold them back. Instead, they view failure as a learning opportunity and use it to fuel their drive for success. So don’t let your past failures keep you from achieving your dreams. Learn from them and use them as motivation to push forward. And remember: when you are focusing on what can go right – it is more likely to go right.

ON ADVERTISING: Be Where The Eyes Are

ADVERTISING: Be Where The Eyes Are

Do you track and measure all of your advertising efforts? It’s such an important task – I hope you do.

These stats are national and not tied to real estate, but I think you will get the idea.

The Standard Media Index reports that digital advertising has grown 13% since 2021, while out-of-home ads rose by 42%. TV ads have dipped by 10%. Magazine ads, meanwhile, had a 22% decrease.

What adjustments would you make if you had information like this available to you about your business? What would you do more of? Less of?  What would you need to add?

Secret from the Best Presenters: Right Brain / Left Brain

Left Brain vs Right Brain

Have you ever seen a high-end presenter using a whiteboard using different colored

markers and wondered why the different colors? They are doing this to engage both right and left-brain thinkers. Color is so powerful, in fact, that it can improve learning by up to 75 percent and increase comprehension of a subject by up to 73 percent.

The right brain is visual and processes information in an intuitive and simultaneous way. It looks first at the whole picture and then the details.

The left brain is verbal and processes information in an analytical and sequential way. It looks first at the pieces and then puts them together to get the whole.

Give this technique the next time you present in front of a crowd… Including Zoom, with their new whiteboard feature.

Sponsorship:  Using someone else’s money $$

Sponsorship - using someone else's money

Expect more in-depth writings on this subject. I have a tremendous amount of understanding of how sponsorships work and how to use them successfully.  In the meantime, consider this:   One of the largest sponsors of The Superbowl, Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser),  has decided not to renew a decades-long deal for exclusivity in the game. This means competitors such as Heineken and Coors will not be free to run national commercials during the Superbowl first time in 34 years. Wow! Huge opportunity here if done right.   This has me thinking a lot about the value of exclusivity, market share, etc.

Instagram News: Boosting and Going Hyper-Local

Instagram News: Boosting and Going Hyper-Local

You can finally turn your organic Reel into an ad that will appear in the Explore page’s feed, Stories, and Reels tab. Make sure it’s less than 90 seconds long, vertically filmed, and doesn’t contain copyrighted material.

Also… this could be HUGE for real estate and locally owned businesses.  The platform is releasing a searchable map that lets you explore popular local businesses nearby. There’s also an option to tag local brands in your posts and stories.

Keto Corner:

Keto Corner

Bread that doesn’t taste horrible

I’ve been hearing good things about Hero brand bread lately. I’ve taken the plunge and ordered a loaf of bread and some of their tortillas.  I’ll report back here soon, but this could be a game changer if it’s half as good as the reviews.  They have bread, tortillas, hamburgers, hot dog buns, and rolls. They report net carbs on all their products are 0 (they use fiber to offset the carbs). Here is a link if you would like to check them out before my official review.

Speaking of Keto – A missed opportunity

Papa Johns missed oportunity

Papa John’s has released an oven-baked bowl of just toppings and sauce. If you have ever enjoyed a Keto-based diet, you are thinking the same thing I am… please don’t use unnecessary sugar in your sauce so that I can enjoy a bowl of pizza without the carbs! Sadly Papa John is missing out on a huge opportunity to be the first in a space with a pizza bowl without crust/bread that could also be low in carbs. This could have been huge and very easy to execute. Honestly, If I were any pizza place right now, I would put low-sugar sauces and toppings in a cup (that fits in a cup-holder in most cars/trucks), offer small, medium, and large, and start marketing it immediately as Keto Pizza in a cup. The global ketogenic diet market size was valued at USD 9.57 billion in 2019 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.5% from 2020 to 2027.

Bye-bye-bye

Say goodbye to Special Ad Audiences on Facebook

Say goodbye to Special Ad Audiences on Facebook. Meta is shutting down its lookalike audience alternative for housing ad sets and will pause any remaining ad sets containing them on October 12. That gives you two months to adjust to the change. What’s your plan?

  • How about bidding on keywords? How about creating a community on Discord or Reddit?
  • You could create your very own content creation machine… drive people to your website by promoting valuable content and being present online. Encourage readers to subscribe to your email list and re-target them that way ← cough cough
