Down the River Cleanup
September 11, 2022

Cleanup from 10 AM - 12 PM
Free BBQ from 3 PM - 5 PM

Here's how it works:

Please join the Clackamas River Basin Council and We Love Clean Rivers for this fun annual event. We will be sweeping a 22-mile stretch from Milo McIver State Park to Clackamette Park for trash. You can choose to volunteer on-land or on-water. On-land volunteers pick a park (Milo McIver, Barton, Carver, Riverside, or Clackamette).On-water volunteers choose between four sections:

Milo McIver to Barton Park
Barton Park to Carver Park
Carver Park to Riverside Park
Riverside Park to Clackamette Park

What we provide: bags for garbage and recycling, gloves, safety captains, waivers, sharps containers, and a FREE BBQ afterwards.

What you provide: help cleaning the river! Your own boat, personal floatation device, hat, sunscreen, water, snacks.

After a day on the river, join us for a FREE BBQ @ Barton Park
BBQ from 3 PM - 5 PM
Meet at Picnic Area #1
