Feel Good Stories

At last week's Banana Festival, Salem Fiflom (RN), Angel Chandra (LVN), and Gabe Leung (Pharmacist) quickly assisted a child that had passed out due to heat exhaustion. The child’s relatives came to our booth asking for assistance from our nurses. They quicky gathered their emergency supplies and ran to the child’s location. They checked his vitals, gave him water, slowly cooled him down and stayed at his side until the fire department arrived.
Also last week, while vaccinating at Our Lady of Lourdes, one of the Sister’s came to our nurse Marie Gage (RN) complaining she wasn’t feeling well. The Sister explained she was having chest pain and pain on her left side. Marie quickly checked her vitals and found her BP was extremely high. The team decided to call 911 and Marie stayed with her until help arrived. After performing an EKG, emergency services determined she might be having heart issues, so they quickly took her to the hospital.

Above & Beyond

This week we are so excited to recognize two more amazing team members who went above and beyond: Cody Potter and Sergio Cuellar. They were both nominated by fellow colleagues and will each be receiving $10 gift cards! Please join us in thanking them for their great work!

“Cody was amazing while vaccinating our youngest of patients (6mons to 5yrs); he sings to them/with them, he is gentle, has so much patience, and is able to put them at ease.”- Salem Kiflom (RN)

“He [Sergio] consistently goes above and beyond week to week in biospecimen and processing, interaction with patients, and being consistent.”- Jose Florez (Lead CRC)

Nominate your team member today!
