This Sunday, we will gather for our worship service in Brown Chapel at 10:30am. In addition, our adult Sunday School classes will meet at 9am.
Reminder: There will be no Children's or Youth programming this Sunday due to Church Family Month!

Wednesday Nights @ SDFC are back September 7!
|
|
|
Come stop by SDFC on Wednesdays beginning 9/7 for a time of community fellowship & learning! We kick off the evening with Wednesday Night Dinners, served in the Friendship Plaza from 5:30-6:30pm. Then, our mid-week programming for kids, teens, and adults takes place from 6:30-8pm.
Wednesday nights offer great opportunities to serve, learn, and connect with other members of our church community. We look forward to having you there!

Our Adult U programming kicks off Sept. 7 with four classes meeting weekly for a range of 4-6 weeks throughout the Fall!
Check out the class schedule below and be sure to RSVP to let us know which classes you're most interested in attending to receive reminders & updates:

Rehearsals for this year’s Kid’s Choir Christmas Musical are starting soon, and we are still looking for adult volunteers that would like to help out throughout the Fall!
Come join us from 6-8pm on Wednesday nights as we work with the amazing kids of our community to get them performance-ready by December!

Here are just a couple ways you can plug-in and support the SDFC Nursery, which provides care for children ages 0-3 during both our 9am Sunday School hour as well as throughout our Sunday Morning Worship service:
- VOLUNTEER: We are always recruiting volunteers to work in the Nursery on Sunday mornings (both 9am & 10:30am hours). Please let us know if you're interested in adding your name to our list of Nursery volunteers!
- DONATE: Over the next few weeks, we'll be collecting donations of gently-used toys and children's books to refresh our current stock in the Nursery. Feel free to contact Jordan to coordinate a drop-off if you have items you'd like to donate!

Sandy Ische leads our Grief Support Group that takes place Mondays from 6:30-8pm. The group is always open to new members!

Come and stop by open gym Pickleball Night happening every other Thursday in the FLC from 6:30-8pm. Bring your own paddle if you can!

Every other Thursday, come put your skills to the test and join us for a game of pick-up basketball starting at 7pm in the FLC!

- The Labenske/Spaite Family: Judi Labenske requests prayer for herself and her family as her father, Wil Spaite, passed away this week at the age of 91. Over many years, Wil poured his life into people and ministry in the church and university, serving as a pastor, District Superintendent, and chairman of the PLNU Board of Trustees. He has many ties with the people at SDFC and his uncle, Alpin Bowes, was one of our first pastors.
His memorial service will be held at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Chandler, AZ; date to be determined.
