PARISH BULLETIN
Twenty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

This week at Holy Spirit Parish, the relative quiet of the summer months is quickly giving way and we have important updates to share! Let's get right into it!

Saturday 4:15 Mass at Holy Ghost

This weekend, August 27, 2022, will be the final 4:15 Mass at Holy Ghost. Beginning next weekend, there will no longer be Mass at 4:15 at Holy Ghost. The rest of the Mass schedule remains unchanged.

We have been extremely fortunate to have Fr. Vu assisting us when he is available. With the school year beginning, however, his availability is more limited. When no supply priest is available, Fr. Steve obviously cannot say be in two places at once!

While it is difficult to eliminate a weekend Mass time, this change is not a signal of any further changes in the future.

Holy Ghost Parking Lot Construction

Holy Family Catholic Schools is in the process of resurfacing the school-adjacent parking lot at Holy Ghost. The lot should be available for parking over the weekend, but take extra time and caution as the lot may be uneven, unfinished, and/or unmarked. During the week, the lot and the W. 30th Street driveways may be completely closed. Please park near the rectory for daily Mass, etc.

Women of Worth

We are super excited to share information for our Women's Ministry returning this Fall ~ Relationships ~ 2nd Series.

Women of Worth is an opportunity for women to come together and grow in relationships. This Women's Ministry will run for 8 weeks on Thursday evenings, beginning September 15th from 6:30pm-8pm in Kriebs Hall at Sacred Heart. Come to One ~ Come to All ~ Just do not come to None!

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

The faith formation program of The Cathedral of St. Raphael, St. Patrick’s, and Holy Spirit Parish is blessed to offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a method based on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, Sacred Scripture, and church liturgy.

Our level one Atrium will open the first week in October for children ages 3-6. It will meet weekly at the Cathedral through the school year. Families can choose to register for Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 4:30-5:30 at https://bit.ly/3A9WlrV

Cathedral, St. Patrick’s, and Holy Spirit parish members will have first access to register for the class. On September 10th registration will be opened to the wider Archdiocesan community if it is not already filled. Spaces are limited, so please sign up ASAP if interested.
