Hi everyone,

This newsletter is only about local road closures.

There are a number of propsed road closures in and around Pyrford.

These are:-
               a) Lincoln Drive                      - 30th & 31st August 2022
                b) Lovelace Drive                  - 5th to 16th September 2022
                c) Martyr’s Lane                    - 22nd September 2022
                d) A3/M25                              - Ongoing

a) Lincoln Drive will be closed 30th to 31st August, 8am to 5pm, at its junction with the Old Woking Road for resurfacing of the carriageway by Surrey County Council. There will also be two-way traffic lights on the Old Woking Road at the junction.

b) Lovelace Drive  will be closed between Onslow Way & Weston Way (numbers 46 to 64 and 31 to 45) between 5th September to 16th September for footway patching by Surrey County Council
For both closures, access for residents within the closed section, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and businesses will be maintained.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant warning signs will be displayed.
c) Martyrs Lane will be closed at Woodham Lane on 22 September 2022 for BT Openreach works. Access to the Recycling Centre will be from the McLaren Roundabout.

d) M25/A3. The M25/A3 highway improvement project was recently approved by the Secretary of State. National Highways have announced a number of overnight road closures affecting the A3 and M25 starting at 10 pm or 11pm, with diversion routes during August, September and October 2022.

National Highways said:-

“We’ll be putting narrow lanes in place on the A3 and reducing the speed limit to 50 mph, ensuring we can keep three lanes open.
We’ll usually work between 7:30am and 6pm Mondays to Fridays, and 8am to 7pm on Saturdays, so there may be times when you won’t see anyone on site.

There will be times when we need to carry out work overnight using road closures. You can find more information about our planned closures over the next few months below. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to your journey.

Our improvements will be completed by summer 2025.”

The full closure details can be found here.

Regards,
.

Take care & stay safe.

Regards,

Andy Grimshaw
PNF Chairman
