Welcome to the 2022/23 Patrol Season!
Hey <<First Name>>,
We hope you're keen to get back on the beach and patrol this season. In this email you will find everything you need to get ready for the new season, so please take the time to go through it all.
Renew your membership
First up it's time to renew your membership (if you haven't yet). Jump on to your Members Area and complete your renewal. Remember to update any personal details such as phone number, and email address. And don't forget to do both the renewal form and make your membership payment.
Patrol roster and teams
The Patrol Roster and Teams [the correct link to teams this time] are ready for viewing, you should also be able to see your upcoming patrols in your Members Area. The Patrol Roster can also be found online here southmaroubrasurfclub.com.au/patrol and here
Be sure to add your patrol dates to you calendar, diary, or however you keep yourself organised. It's important that if you can not make a patrol that you find a sub. An easy way to do this is to make sure you're a member of the Club's Patrol Subs Facebook group where you can make sub requests. Once you have agreed on the sub or swap please be sure to pick up the sub request in the Members area. You can see a handy guide on how to do this here.
Special patrols
On the roster you will notice a couple of special patrols this season. In November we will run a Patrol for awareness on Men's Mental Health. November traditionally being Movember, we encourage you band together and to either grow a mo or be a mo-sista and support a great cause.
In March we will have a patrol in celebration of International Women's Day, supporting our female membership!
These patrols will be filled on a volunteer basis, and outside of the patrol we'll also look to have some fun activities. If you'd like volunteer your time on one or both of the days please express your interest using this form.
There are a few more initiatives the team is working on this season and we will communicate once we have more information.
Skills Maintenance (Proficiency)
The below information is very important. If you do not complete your skills maintenance you will not be proficient and can not patrol. Please read the below carefully. If you have any questions regarding Skills Maintenance please contact Codie at education@southmaroubrasurfclub.com.au
