10:45 am
for Newborn - Grade 5

Lessons in September will explore the question,What is idolatry? The answer is that idolatry is a sin of the heart in which we love and value something else above God. Solomon’s idolatry had led to the kingdom splitting in two. Jesus as the people were divided against one another, so were they divided against God as they continued to try to worship the one true God along with false gods around them. God raised up prophets to speak on his behalf and warn the people to worship him alone.

Goodbye to Goodbyes

by Lauren Chandler

Jesus said, “There is a day coming when we will say goodbye to saying goodbyes forever.” Do you believe that?

This is the true story of what happened when Jesus visited his friends Mary, Martha, and Lazarus—and changed everything.

Ages 4-8.

Policy Update

We’ve updated some of our policies, notably a clarification on our Two Deep rule which now reads as follows:

“For the safety and protection of our children and volunteers, all children registered in any Children’s Ministry program will at all times be in the presence of at least two workers. The main leader must be 21 or older and will be responsible for ensuring the policies are followed. The second helper must be 18 or older. If a situation arises where it’s unavoidable that a worker must be alone with a child/children, it will only be in rooms with adequate visibility. In no event shall any child be left alone with a Teen Helper.”

This means that our Teen Helpers, while a very valuable and important part of our ministry, don’t fulfill the two-deep requirement and will be added as a third volunteer in various classrooms. There will, of course, be a period of time to achieve compliance on this change, and we will be working hard to that end. Thank you for understanding the importance of this, and please let me know if you have any questions.
