Teen Advisory Group
Thursday, September 8th

The library's Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is for students in Grades 6 through 12.  Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, teens will contribute to the development and planning of library events for their age group, will make suggestions for book purchases for the library's Young Adult collection, and offer ideas for creating a comfortable, safe and fun atmosphere for teens at the library. Teens will be able to earn volunteer hours for participation.  Food is provided, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

Fall Yoga and Mindfulness for Tweens and Teens

Through mindfulness, a short yoga sequence, journaling, and ayurvedic fall practices, we'll practice staying centered during this changing season. Bring your own yoga mat and journal or we'll have mats to borrow and pens & paper.

Negotiation Skills Toolbox with Joan Treece

The act of negotiating occurs in many aspects of a person’s personal and professional life.  This session will expose attendees to the characteristics of a successful negotiation.  We will explore the skills necessary to articulate what you want with clarity, represent your own best interest, avoid self-sabotage, build alliances, and create the best environment for a successful outcome.  This program will offer tools to become a stronger job candidate, a more educated consumer, and a more confident and resourceful participant in your own life challenges.

Fall Craft Workshop with Hannah

Join us for an evening of crafting! We will be creating a wooden wall hanging to add some festive fun to your home throughout the Autumn season. All supplies will be provided, just bring your creativity! This craft workshop is open to all levels of experience and artistry and is ideal for adults and teens, ages 15 and up.
