2022-2023 Faculty Handbook
Welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year! To ensure you are ready and prepared for the year, please read and review the updated 2022-2023 Faculty Handbook. It contains critical information related to teaching expectations, policies, and processes at BC. While the Faculty Handbook is always available on MyBaker, it is recommended that you download a copy for your own easy access.
There have been updates and revisions to several areas including, but not limited to –
- Reorganization of content and sections to put critical information earlier in the handbook, and lesser used policies and processes towards the end.
- Inclusion of all three delivery modes (on ground, online, and OnlineLive) within policies and processes where needed.
- Updates to and reorganization of General and Faculty Expectations in Section II and updates to content and language clarity for several policies and processes in Section III including, but not limited to –
- Late policy and guidelines for implementation of policy
- Canceled class/Campus closures
- Early Alerts
- Schedule integrity: Not altering or changing course start/end dates, class day/time, location, or delivery mode from what is indicated on the College's published schedule unless a Schedule Change ticket has been approved.
We hope you find the reorganized and updated content helpful.
Here's to a great start to the 2022-2023 academic year!
Best,
Dr. Joanna Palmer
