Dear Faith Family,
As I make visits to senior adults, many have asked “What’s Next? Scripture teaches that God has a purpose for every person. His purposes for us are lived out over a lifetime, not just when we are young and healthy.
I have learned that God wants our availability over our lifespan. God uses those who make themselves available to Him, no matter their age or physical ability. God is already in our future—calling, waiting, ready to lead us on a new and exciting journey. God guides us by sharing His plans with us and asking us to join Him in those plans as He opens doors to serve others.
It is never too late to begin something new. God empowers us and we are never too young or too old. If God prompts you, engage what He has put on your heart to do! Acknowledge it and say yes because it is never too late!
Each person has a calling. It might be to lead children or to lead a new Bible Study class. It might be to be a part of our care team, reaching out to those that are lonely, in the hospital or nursing home. We are all called to pray for the needs of our faith family, for those serving as missionaries around the world, and for those who do not know the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
“Keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete”. Hebrews 12:2a.
My prayer is that we will all follow God’s prompting, no matter our age or ability, and we will be amazed at what God does through us.
See you Sunday!
