Hey everyone,

Well, I always write parts of this email at different times during the week, but my week changed significantly on Wednesday, so most of this will be short!

Major life news!

Let's get to this week's email!

Something Professional

Two things this week!

1. As it is the start of the school year this next week, or some schools are fully into the swing of things, I encourage you to pick up a copy of either "Because of a Teacher" or "Because of a Teacher, Volume II."

Each book contains stories from myself and 15 other educators, and they will make you "laugh, cry, and think" about the profession that can take so much out of a person but give so much back.

I promise you that there is a story, if not multiple, in each book that will resonate deeply with you, and I am so proud of the educators that poured their heart and soul into each of their contributions! It will also make a great gift for a colleague or staff!

Check out both books here!

2. Speaking of educators inspiring people to action, I got a message from educator Jeff Burr that he missed #MindsetMonday, so I decided to start it back up for the third season and gave Jeff his credit for his gentle nudge!

You can listen to the first episode on Apple Podcasts or watch it on YouTube! I discuss "4 Things to Consider When Having a Fresh Start," which hopefully will be great timing for educators at the beginning of the school year and maybe students as well!

Check it out below!

Quote from the episode:

"Sometimes the best thing that has happened to me is not getting a new job,
it was leaving an old one."

Something Profound

I have had a great six weeks on the road and have been inspired by so many amazing people while also being inspired by things happening in my own personal life.

I believe that what you look for you will often find.

I love the quote below:

Something Personal

Speaking of inspiration....

I am SOOOO excited to announce that Marino James Couros was born early in the morning of August 31, 2022!

Both mom and baby are healthy! Marino came a lot earlier than expected, and was surprisingly big (9lbs 10 oz). Honestly, he is WAY bigger than what we thought and I can't help buy laugh and think of this Will Ferrell gif!

I will share more next week as I feel a bit speechless from the shock of the early arrival and the amazing gift my family has just received. I am so excited!

A picture dump is below!

I hope you have  a great weekend and week ahead! My plans are snuggling my kids like crazy!

Sincerely,
George Couros
