Dear reader,
Welcome to this week’s edition of our newsletter.

The IoT module market is seeing much action nowadays. Consolidation is on and the deal street is busy. Looking into Telit’s recent acquisitions, Soumen Mandal says the company is moving up the stack to become an end-to-end solution provider.
Even as the overall global smartphone market continues to report weak numbers, its premium segment is notching up new records. The average selling price of the segment was $780 in Q2 2022, a second-quarter record, finds Varun Mishra.
The EV market has a new leader. China’s BYD Auto managed to dethrone Tesla in Q2 2022 for the first time. Although Tesla’s business in the US increased, its China business was hit by COIVD-19 restrictions, reports Abhik Mukherjee.
