Koinonia Prayer List
PRAYER REQUESTS (joys and concerns) should be called in or e-mailed to the church office. With your permission, they will be listed in the Koinonia prayer list, and announced in worship so that the church family can pray for the mentioned needs. Please keep the office updated on the requests.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. Romans 8:26

CELEBRATIONS/Prayers of thanksgiving
- Thanks to the volunteers that are continuing to produce our live and recorded worship services.
- The CPC deacons that are shepherding their flocks and caring for needs of the church and community
- The Scanlon family as they celebrate and rejoice in the finalized adoption of their daughter Emilynn.
- Congratulations to Sarah (Moles) and Adam Hofer on the birth of a daughter, Annie Jo, on September 1. Annie has a sister Maggie and is the granddaughter of Jim & Cheryl Moles, great granddaughter of Agnes Moles and great-niece of Barb Goltry.

- Josie Bullock, friend of Gail Nattkemper. Started treatment for cancer of the peritoneum, which is incurable.

- Indiana State students recently killed in a car accident, their family, friends and the entire ISU community
- Lucas Haan, latest scans have suggested that his testicular cancer has returned. Lucas is in pain, and prayers for him and the Haan family are appreciated
- *Sarah Kelsheimer's daughter in law's brother, Charles Shepard, victim of a recent train/pedestrian accident. Remains in serious condition in Indy.
- The Blue family, family friends of Sarah Kelsheimer, son Josh killed in farm accident last week. Josh was very newly married as well.
- Jeanne Lubic, recently attending with son Brian Lubic and Rachael Spencer. Hospitalized at St. Vincent's in Indy, awaiting test results.
- The Ekstrom family with the recent passing of daughter-in-law Yolee
- *Nancy Buck completed rehab and back home continuing to recover.
- For the victims of flooding in southeastern Kentucky, especially the Buckhorn community with whom we've partnered in the past for mission work.
- Gail Hayes, completed radiation & recent MRI shows no new tumor growth since July. Chemo and speech therapy continue.
- Yang Keypunjong, a pastor assisting William Seo's Afghan refugee work in Brazil.
- Sarah Kelsheimer's neighbor, Won. Tumors are shrinking but she maintains a terminal diagnosis. She remains upbeat and committed to enjoying her time with her husband.
- Eunice Pate as she sees progress in her recovery
- Ridge Holder's friend Gavyn and his father, Scott. Scott continues to receive treatment for t-cell lymphoma, with the possibility of leukemia.
- John and Elinor Cleveland
- Kaitlyn Wiensch, friend of Jim & Cheryl Moles had a successful double mastectomy surgery last week and her lymph nodes were clear which is good news.
- Agnes Moles and the Moles family as she experiences some health issues.
- For our elders currently serving on the session, that they might lead with God's guidance, compassion and wisdom.
- For those suffering from mental illness
- For those suffering from regressive illnesses, including memory loss
- For unity and fellowship in the churches.

- At-risk children and their parents/caregivers or foster families
- Alexander Speinburg, nephew of Caroline (Wadsworth) and Jeremy Johnson, rare disease with limited physical development
- David, P.J. Ekstrom's cousin, prostate cancer that is now stage 4 cancer through his body; his wife, Margery needs support and prayers for peace
- Shawn Larson, Phillip Smith’s godson, continues to struggle with limitations of Multiple Sclerosis.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
you have committed to your holy Church
the care and nurture of your children.
Enlighten with your wisdom those
who teach and those who learn,
that rejoicing in the knowledge of your truth,
they may worship you and serve you
from generation to generation;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Evening:
Dear God, Grant our teachers an abundance of Your wisdom.
Prepare their hearts to welcome and love our loved ones,
and may we make sure to show them love and respect in return.
Give them grace as they help students who aren’t thriving,
the courage to say what needs to be said,
tools and knowledge on how and when to speak love,
and strength when they feel weak.
When they feel unseen, remind them that no moment goes unnoticed.
They are shaping the future in one million small,
yet incredibly important, ways every day.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of learning
that they share with our children.
Bless them, Lord, and may they see even just a glimpse
of how their faithfulness will forever impact generations to come.
Amen.
