CALL FOR MURAL ARTISTS

Tomorrow is the last day that the Hart Project committee will accept submissions for its first annual HartPrize Mural Contest!  Artists interested in painting a 4-ft x 4-ft mural to be displayed on an exterior wall in Downtown Hart should APPLY HERE.  

*Due date for the design is no later than Tuesday, August 31, 2022 at 9 PM

The purpose of this project is to promote local artists, encourage community involvement, and to beautify Hart with three murals that bring new life, authentic stories, and the arts to our growing community...

34th Annual Hart Heritage Days

• September 3 
• 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM - open for tours, no dinner
• September 4
• 10:30 AM - Sunday Church Service at the Sackrider Church
• 11:45 AM - Pork, chicken, sweet corn, slaw, potato, veggies, roll and dessert all for $15
• 2:00 PM - Car raffle (1979 Cadillac Coupe- Beautiful car) get your tickets at the fair and at the district.

• The 30th Annual Hart Pow Wow, also known as the Honoring Our Elders Traditional Pow Wow, is set for Sept 3 and 4, 2022 at the Oceana County Fairgrounds in Hart, Michigan. Enjoy a traditional Native American pow wow with intertribal dancing, Native singing, storytelling, arts and crafts, food and more. There will be multiple items raffled Sunday with a 50/50 raffle both days. Bring lawn chairs to watch the Grand Entry and Intertribal dancing Saturday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Flags will be retired at 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome – and admission is free.

• The H-Art Project Committee will host its first annual Fall ArtWalk in Downtown Hart on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11am - 2pm. Stroll through several unique locations downtown and view original works of art, meet the artists, listen to a variety of live music.  Enjoy snacks at each stop, adult - grab your favorite beverage to enjoy within our Social District.
