 "Dine with the Dinosaurs"
A Celebration of 58 years of Fossils and Fun

Sat, November 5, 2022 (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT)
Tickets: $75

About this event

After closing for the day, JMDC will reopen for our dinner guests. From our many fossils, this year's featured fossils for the evening will be our Trilobites. There will be unique displays, Trilobite Jeopardy, and some Trilobite surprises. Take some time to walk JMDC's Museum of Discoveries and look at the other fossils we have from all through time.

We'll have a Silent Auction to support our educational programs for schools and families. There are many great items for you to bid on. Be sure to be prepared to win your bid and take your item home.

JMDC offers over a dozen different programs for Schools to bring their students to. Each program has a unique venue here at the JMDC 82 acre campus. There are plans to expand many of the venues to meet the increased demand by our visiting schools and families. Funds are needed to meet these goals. Your support will help us meet our goals.

Dress is casual, dress for the evening weather. We'll be dining 'al fresco' in the Sunken Garden. Wear comfortable clothing for walking to explore the gardens. Closed toe flat shoes (sneakers) are recommended, please do not wear heels.

August 9, 2022:
Received a Mangrove Monitor today from Foster's Army Animal Rescue. Was caught about a year ago by Animal Services, moved to Foster's Army. Jave was fostered out for last year and now has a forever home at JMDC. It'll be a few weeks before he's out with public while he adjusts. Welcome Java with Ginny, Wes, and Patrick to Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center.
August 14, 2022:
So this happened this morning. Yesterday no babies and today babies. So cute! Our Emperor Scorpion decided everything was right to birth her babies. There will be plenty of baby pictures as these little guys & gals grow. Very exciting! You never know what's around the corner at JMDC until you get here. Look forward to your next visit to JMDC's Critter Corner to see what exciting discoveries await.

Use our app to explore and collect your own dinosaurs. Ask about JMDC's Dinosaur Trek app the next time you swing by the property.
Bring the kids and let them collect dinosaurs while they explore. Watch their faces light up when they see a moving dino right in front of them in the app. Fun for all ages.

FROM OUR BLOG

Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center Critter Corner is home to many critters, including Mr. and Mrs. Root Beer and their family. They all reside comfortably and at home in our Critter Corner. They are root-beerish (dark brown to black) in color and can reach up to 3 inches in length, from front to back. They can also weigh up to 25 grams. This critter is native to Madagascar, an island nation off the southeastern coast of Africa. Let’s learn more about these fascinating critters.

Xena is a five-year-old female, Mexican red-knee tarantula, and has called JMDC her home for three years. She gets her name from the 1990’s television series Xena: Warrior Princess. However, Xena, the tarantula, is not nearly as fierce as her namesake. Xena is, in fact, very docile. Of the 900 tarantula species globally, the Mexican red-knee tarantula is one of the most docile...READ MORE
