Back-to-school season is wrapping up, and now we are able to focus on the upcoming Fall events we've been invited to!

Description: OUTDOORS - dress for warm weather, low-medium physical activity level

Lynn Institute and OKC Latina are partnering to host Wellness Fiesta, a community health fair for the South Oklahoma City community. The theme of this event is overall health and wellness. They want to help change the way individuals approach their own health and that of their families. Volunteers are needed to distribute Hilltop Clinic flyers and giveaway items!

Description: OUTDOORS - dress for October weather, low-medium physical activity level

Come celebrate Oklahoma’s rich multicultural heritage during Hispanic Heritage Month at Calle Dos Cinco! Fiestas de las Américas Parade & Street Festival attracts more than 20,000 visitors to the Historic Capitol Hill District and showcases the beauty, flavors, and talent of the Américas. At the Hilltop Clinic table and canopy, we will offer information about the clinic and giveaways for kids. We need 2-4 volunteers to set up the table as well as greet families and talk with them about the services we offer.

Here are some suggested shifts, but we can work with whatever works for you!

Fall Into a Good Book / Fall Party

Description: Dress up as your favorite book character, low-medium physical activity level

Coolidge Elementary is encouraging reading with their Fall Into a Good Book event! Literacy is a major determinant of health, and Hilltop Clinic has been invited to share information about our services with students and their families. Costumes are encouraged! Come dressed as your favorite book character!

Adult Clinic

Since Christ Community Health Coalition was started in December 2014, we have been holding clinics for uninsured adults on the 4th Tuesday evening of every month from 6:00pm to about 8:30 pm. These monthly clinics consistently require a good number of volunteers to run smoothly. We already have physicians scheduled to come and see the patients, but every month we also need two nurses, two or more Spanish-English interpreters, and two or more people who can count pills, make copies, and assist with other similar tasks. This is an awesome opportunity to share the healing love of Jesus with our neighbors in a practical way! The next 3 upcoming adult clinics are listed below, along with who has already committed to being there. Let Clarissa know if there is a volunteer spot you would like to take!
