Even though we didnt hit our target to double the number of wild tigers by this year, there is a report stating that there are 40% more tigers in the wild than previously thought! That means as many as 5,578! The jump in numbers was due to improved monitoring, with the population thought to be stable or increasing, said the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Habitat protection projects showed that “recovery is possible”.

Let's keep it up and triple this numbers!

Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival 香港兒童國際電影節 aims to bring meaningful #films from around the globe to the audiences of #HongKong. The Festival believes that films act as a powerful medium for rich cultural learning and artistic inspiration, and as such can greatly cultivate the thinking and development of #kids and #teenagers, and enhance their ability to appreciate different kinds of cultures, arts, and forms of creative media. Through watching films from different genres, #children’s imaginations can be broadened, and their understanding of the film industry can also be enriched. Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival is a co-own non-profit project by 3Space and Golden Scene Company Limited.

Dear DotAsia Members,

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate in Asia Pacific Internet Government Academy (APIGA) 2022 as a facilitator for some sessions, especially concerning the model ICANN Conference during the five-day programme.

It was an incredible experience for the youth to gain knowledge about Internet Governance through hands-on experience and lessons. There were numerous activities that ranged from the fundamental concept of Internet Governance to the most recent current issues such as metaverse, cryptocurrency, and Web3.

The honourable mentors and articulate speakers have covered the history and principles of Internet Governance, the UN Digital Cooperation and Global Digital Impact, Names, Numbers and Protocols, ICANN Policy and many more.

Throughout the programme, the participants surely enhanced their knowledge and gained a better understanding of the said topics. Furthermore, on the fourth day, as the chair, I believe the model ICANN Conference was a success, and the participants were outstanding when playing their respective roles in resolving the DNS abuse issues, pertaining to the definition of DNS abuse and determining whether ICANN should take action.

In short, I believe APIGA 2022 was a success and I believe it serves as a stepping stone for everyone to continue their Internet Governance journey.
