Drought impacts all of us, our lawns and parks, our cities and summer activities. In Kenya drought affects basic needs for living. The rivers and ponds cannot provide adequate water. Listen here.
Kenyan Youth speak out. The speaker in this video is one of our scholarship students, we pay for her schooling. The videographer has been supported since he was a young boy. These are now young leaders in their community.
Climate Impact: While we complain about our brown lawns and worry about our flower gardens, the people of Kenya are worrying about getting drinking water, and watching their crops burn up in the fields. These children and their families struggled this year with the hottest season too hot, and the water sources looked like this one in the photo. The rainy season was too light, and the crops were poor. We are hoping to provide more opportunities for them to learn permaculture and experiment with other crops. There is much work to be done. We encourage you during this summer of compassion, to support these efforts and work by our all volunteer organization. We are offering for sale pottery, hand-dyed African fabric, kikoy shawls from Kenya, and others items. Please check out our auction page.
