Overlocker Workshop
Reversable Patchwork Blanket (Repeat)

In this overlocker workshop, learn how to create the reversable patchwork blanket quilt that features patchwork blocks and strips on both sides — all sewn out on your overlocker, no sewing machine required! This blanket is the perfect size to be a cot blanket, car blanket, pram blanket — or even a blanket for your doggies!
|
|
In our sample, we have used polar fleece on one side and cotton on the other — but it’s up to you what style you want to create! A great project for scraps and remnants.
Please bring your overlocker (all makes and models are welcome!) — further requirements will be sent via email upon your booking.

Introducing in-the-hoop hangout!
Once a fortnight (on a Wednesday) you can bring your embroidery machine for an in-the-hoop embroidery workshop.
We will have our own "featured project" design each month that Kristina will be sitting and working through creating - which attendees are welcome to create with us. Or, you can bring your own current in-the-hoop project and work on that, if you prefer.
We are on-hand to help you with any of your in-the-hoop embroidery needs -- whether it be hooping techniques, thread, stabiliser, and needles recommendations, or just general inquiries on the day.

Sit-and-Cut Day
Learn a new technique every month
+ work on your current ScanNCut projects
Join us for a day of Scan-and-cutting!
Each month (last Wednesday of the month), at the start of this day workshop, we will teach and demonstrate a new cutting method or function on the machine, and how to incorporate this into a craft project. Some simple notes will be provided, as well as some sample material to play with.
For the remainder of the session, we want you to bring in whatever you are trying to cut -- whether it be fabrics, vinyl, paper, leather, cork, balsa wood, stencil plastic or whatever else!
We will then be on hand for the day to assist with your project, and to show you any functions and methods in-built on the machine that you would like to learn.

'My Design Center' Workshop -
REPEAT
Borders, Shapes and Fills Block
PART 1 & PART 2
PART 1 -- In this workshop, Lisa will be running you through the process of creating a feature block in the Design Center suite. We will be utilising the borders function, shapes function, and adding fills functions.
PART 2 -- In this workshop, we will be finishing our block from last session -- we will already have our centre, so we will be using the shapes function with fills and placement techniques to create our flowers.

Requirements: Brother embroidery machine (My Design Center capable) --
You do not need to physically bring in
your machine if you do not want to!
You are welcome to share a machine, or simply observe the process (if you do not want to transport your machine.)

Casual Cardigan Class

In this workshop, learn how to create this fashionable cardigan on your overlocker. Use a light-weight fabric for the summer months, or something thicker for a winter feel!

Note: While we did use a coverstitch machine to finish off the cardigan (and you are also welcome to use/bring a coverstitch machine too, if you have one!) -- the same effect can be achieved with a twin-needle on your sewing machine.
