Greenfield Pop Up Party

I'm so humbled and thrilled to have Alternate Histories as my awesome upstairs studio neighbor. Matt's been showcasing local makers all summer, and on the last Friday night in August will be hosting a block party at his space and the adjacent street at 517 Greenfield Ave.

I'm dyeing up some special skeins and mini sets and would love to see you. Say hi, try some sweet baked goods and tacos, browse all the Alternate Histories goods in one place, and sip the long-awaited Greenfield edition of East End Brewing's Pittsburgh neighborhood beer series
Pop Up at Alternate Histories Studio
A tiny batch of Greenfield Bridge mini sets will be available Friday at the pop up!

PREORDER TIMELINES

If you're on tenterhooks about fall (ME TOO ME TOO), fret not!

Beastly Halloween countdowns are still on track for the last week of September. They are looking SO GOOD and will be ready in time for you to countdown the last two weeks of October!

Undead preorders: Carmilla yarn and book club yarn is in process and will be ready for you in early September!  As a reminder this club is yarn-only, but there will be one virtual meeting (for all three vampire titles).  I am hoping to host one craft and chat in person in Pittsburgh (for all three vampire titles) - date and location TBD.

YARN FOR GOOD

Each month a portion of your purchases support organizations and funds that work towards social, environmental, and progressive change. Your purchases in July supported:
  • Pittsburgh Feminists for Intersectionality, a local mutual aid fund focused on fighting racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, and other forms of oppression and discrimination facing underrepresented communities.
  • GASP, a nonprofit working to eliminate industrial pollution in Allegheny County. Every skein of colorway Eliza Furnace goes towards supporting GASP and making Pittsburgh a little more lung-friendly.
  • SistersPGH, a Black Trans-led organization serving Queer Trans Black Indigenous People of Color, trans, and nonbinary people within Southwestern PA.
Cheers and happy stitching,
Rita
