I have had the Prisma in use since 2016. It has not given me any trouble at all in this period and has been a steady, reliable investment since its purchase.
I am predominately using it in its conventional format as I have not gotten around to setting either Phased Array or Time of Flight Diffraction as yet. This set is built for these two Ultrasonic methods. The Prisma gives you the advantage of using two transducers at the same time. You simply split the screen into two and import two transducers from your stored list two the screen. Prove calibration of the transducers and you are ready to scan your work piece with two probes. You find something with one, then just pick up the second transducer and confirm your findings, or scan the area you just used your 70° transducer with your 60° transducer without having to disengage the first transducer and recalibrate, etc. This is a godsend and a function I use nearly 100% of the time I am scanning.
The screen is well set out and rather large which was a pleasant surprise. Clarity of signal is outstanding. The choices of screen image you can select is outstanding. I cannot fault the amplifier and its strength.
Now, having little experience with Phased Array, I have witnessed technicians using the Prisma in this form, only they have split the screen into three with the Phased Array being on the bottom half of the screen and the top half is split into two and you can be looking at your scan in two A-Scan angles at the same time. You choose the angles. This is a truly effective Ultra Sonic Set.
I have no regrets in its purchase.
