Join Civic Life's Immigrants & Refugees Program for the opening ceremony of our second annual Welcoming Week celebration! This free event will have music and dance performances by local artists like Son de Cuba, Habiba Addo, and DJ Anjali, delicious food from many different cultures, and more.

Water Bill Assistance Program
The City of Portland Water Bureau serves water to nearly a quarter of all Oregonians. In addition to managing our drinking water, the Water Bureau maintains Portland’s sewer and stormwater systems.
 
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Water Bureau expanded the qualifications for its financial assistance programs. Assistance is available in the form of bill discounts for sewer and water charges, crisis vouchers, payment arrangements, and fixture repair services. These resources are available in

Metro's Community Placemaking Grant
Metro, the Portland area regional government, is accepting Community Placemaking grant applications from Aug. 5 to Oct. 7. These grants support arts and culture based, community-led, equity-centered efforts that strengthen people’s connections to each other and places they care about.
Up to $200,000 in grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 will be awarded for the 2023 cycle. No matching funds are required. Strong proposals are grounded in racial equity and address a critical community challenge or opportunity. Applications are due before noon on October 7.

Multnomah County Cultural Coalition Grant
Multnomah County’s Community Cultural Participation Grant Program, funded by The Oregon Cultural Trust, supports community-based cultural events, programs, and organizations with grants between $1,000 and $2,500. Find the full grant guidelines and preview the application questions
online. Applications are due via the online portal by 11:59 pm on October 13.
