Dangerous conditions Wednesday
A cold front is crossing the coast Tuesday, with fresh to strong north to north-westerly winds ahead of the front and a strong and gusty southerly change in its wake. Than a low may develop on Tuesday night over the central or northern coastal waters but is expected to move away to the east on Wednesday.

BOM has issued warnings for Wednesday for the coast from Byron waters all the way down to the Illawarra. The warning is for seas of 3 to 4 metres and mixed southerly and easterly swells of 3 metres.

For all those coasts on Wednesday, BOM is warning of dangerous rockfishing and boating conditions.

Always tell someone where you are going and when you plan on coming back. If the rock platform is wet ask yourself 'why is it wet?' then watch the ocean for waves and swells for at least 20 minutes. Always fish with a friend, wear proper rockfishing footwear, light warm high-visibility clothing, and wear a life jacket in case you get washed in. Never turn your back on the ocean.
