Six-years ago, my hands shook as I picked up the phone to make a pivotal phone call. I will never forget Cindy’s voice as she said, “The Grange would love to rent the hall to you for dance classes.” I remember stepping into the hall for the first time. As the space filled with music and the pitter patter of little ballerinas, my heart filled with joy. We certainly all have grown a great deal since Exhale’s humble beginnings. I must admit that my heart still fills with the same joy every time I drive by The Grange Hall. So many beautiful memories of joyous dancing, amazing friends and dreams come true.
I cannot thank you enough for choosing to dance with Exhale for the first time this season or being part of our family since the very beginning. The dance studio continues to be my happy space, my ‘Exhale’. I truly hope that your family feels the same way about the space we are creating together. A space that is filled with forever friends, beautiful mistakes, moments of growth and weakness, and a dance family that is there for eachother every rhythmic step of the way.
