| BackPack Buddies offering + Blessing of BackpacksThis Sunday, August 28, during the 10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist we will prepare for the return to school with our annual Blessing of Backpacks and a special offering will be collected for BackPack Buddies! Bring your backpack, work bag, sports bag, or brief case, and bring your offering for BackPack Buddies. |

Items for BackPack Buddies need to be packaged in individual servings. Item of most need are canned proteins (SpaghettiOs, ravioli, chicken noodle or tomato soup,) breakfast items (cereal bars, Pop-Tarts,) juice boxes (Capri Sun, apple/orange juice,) or fruit (mixed fruit cups or apple sauce cups). |

Slide into Sunday School photo album On Sunday afternoon, we hosted a join event with St. Timothy’s called Slide into Sunday School. We rented a giant water slide to celebrate summertime and prepare us for returning to school in a few weeks. About 70 people were in attendance. Our new Director of Youth Ministries, Hannah Hutchens, introduced herself to the families gathered, and so did Martha Whitesides, St. Tim’s new Director of Christian Formation. | Rise Against HungerJoin us this Sunday, August 28, from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. as we package 10,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. We are fully staffed with volunteers! Hooray! Please arrive early, we will start promptly at 2:30. We are still about $1000 short of our fundraising goal to support this work.

| Food Pantry no longer using plastic grocery bagsThank you so much for donating your plastic grocery bags for use by the St. Paul’s food pantry in recent years! We have switched to a different system now, and no longer need donations of plastic bags. If you would like to recycle them, most grocery stores have a bin out front where used grocery bags can be recycled. |

| Cub Scout Troop at St. Tim’s“St. Timothy’s has Cub Scouting for boys grades K-5 and girls in 1st grade. This girls’ den is a brand new offering!
