Our purpose simply put; loving God, serving others, doing no harm.
Hello Mt. Bethel,
Last Sunday, we talked about Jeremiah and his calling story. Jeremiah’s story is our story. It might not be in as a dramatic way like Jeremiah’s but God has been calling you even when you were in our mothers’ wombs because He already knew (
yada) each and every one of you; We came here on this earth as strangers, we didn’t choose our families, parents, or spouses, or children but God already has a plan for you.
Since God knows you, you’re not only a man or woman. God wants you to get out of your comfort zone and keep following God’s plan as the disciples of Christ. God wants you to be a part of His ministry through participating in worship services, and reaching out to your church members or neighbors, and spreading the gospel and love to our neighbors and in this world.
Let us keep walking on our journey of knowing who we are, and not give up on our faith journey. Let us find God’s purpose in our life and participate in God’s ministry through the sharing of love and planting the seed of gospel. God will fulfill God’s plan through you.       Pastor Hannah

Sunday, September 18, at 3p the “Little White Church” in Inver Grove Heights is hosting the telling of a courageous story of the the Kochendorfer family.  Original founders of Old Salem Church who headed west to homestead near Redwood Falls. In 1862, they were caught in the middle of the Dakota War resulting in the death of parents Johann, Catherine. In the book “Malice Toward None,” author Dan Munson tells the story of the four surviving children orphaned by the War, & how members of Old Salem cared for and adopted the children, helping them to not merely survive but to thrive. Live streamed too.     Read more here...

2021 STATE OF THE CHURCH REPORT
This State of the Church Report 9 minute video describes how The United Methodist Church, over this past year, has sought to better define its missional and theological identity. We have done that at a very sensitive time in the life of our church and in the context of our decades-long struggle over how to be in ministry with our LGBTQIA+ siblings. Our efforts have led us to ask a question similar to the one put to Peter. Who do we say that we are?
The Mt Bethel Church Leadership Team strongly encourages all people to get vaccinated and encourages vulnerable people to wear a mask on Sunday morning during our Worship service and Fellowship time.
If you have any one of the COVID symptoms stay home and do not attend in person Worship. Symptoms of COVID can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell.
