As we arrive at the end of August, we hope that the summer season and the bank holiday weekend have been successful for you. The Visit Lancashire summer campaign has so far received over 30,000 impressions.
Here at Marketing Lancashire we are counting down to the Lancashire Tourism Awards deadline for Small Event, Large Event of the Year and Taste Lancashire Producer Award categories. If you are an organiser of one of Lancashire's varied and exciting calendar of events, you have just over three weeks to get your applications in.
In August we welcomed new Visit Lancashire Partners Choc Amor, world award-winning, Lancashire based manufacturer, retailer and wholesaler of fiendishly good chocolate. We thank them for their support and look forward to working in partnership over the coming year and beyond.

Lancashire Tourism Awards 2022
Do you host an award-winning Lancashire event?
There are three categories in the Lancashire Tourism Awards you can still enter, with a deadline of 18 September. If you have hosted a top Lancashire event or produce a tasty Lancashire delicacy, get your applications in now.
This year, we have createdbitesize videos on how to complete your application, question by question. These short videos give an insight into what judges are looking for and what to include in your application.
The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has been announced as the Headline Sponsor of the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2022. Celebrating 15 years as a supporter of the only county-wide tourism and hospitality awards.

This autumn a calendar of dates across the county will take place. Partners are invited to come along to the most convenient session for them, share news and plans and discuss how to get the most from your partnership.

Thank you to those of you who completed the survey featured in last month's newsletter to collect insights into tourism and hospitality sector performance across this year to date.
It is clear that the current economic climate is continuing to restrict the sector's return to growth, with over half of respondents reporting visitor numbers/footfall down compared to usual/pre-Covid levels, accompanied by a drop in business turnover. It is vital that we measure this impact and share that data with Government. The summary report is available to read now.
Events in Lancashire guides great hit with visitors
We have launched two events guides so far this year, covering Apr-Jun and Jul-Sept. The digital guides have been well received across all Visit Lancashire platforms, with the guides getting over 196,000 impressions to date, and an average read time of two minutes. visitlancashire.com event pages are getting 1.2m page views.
Opportunities are available for partners to take part start from £50 + VAT.
This year we will be promoting Lancashire’s fantastic businesses with a three month campaign that includes a brand new digital festive guide, as well as social, email and campaign pages on VisitLancashire.com.
Partners can also choose to give their profile a boost with paid social via Visit Lancashire social channels.
Opportunities are available for partners to take part start from £50 + VAT.
