August Partner Update

As we arrive at the end of August, we hope that the summer season and the bank holiday weekend have been successful for you.  The Visit Lancashire summer campaign has so far received over 30,000 impressions.

Here at Marketing Lancashire we are counting down to the Lancashire Tourism Awards deadline for Small Event, Large Event of the Year and Taste Lancashire Producer Award categories.  If you are an organiser of one of Lancashire's varied and exciting calendar of events, you have just over three weeks to get your applications in.

In August we welcomed new Visit Lancashire Partners Choc Amor, world award-winning, Lancashire based manufacturer, retailer and wholesaler of fiendishly good chocolate.  We thank them for their support and look forward to working in partnership over the coming year and beyond.

This partner update includes news and opportunities, including Lancashire Tourism Awards update, calendar of partner drop in events, Visit Lancashire campaign plans and the regular partners in the news feature.

How's Business Survey findings published

Thank you to those of you who completed the survey featured in last month's newsletter to collect insights into tourism and hospitality sector performance across this year to date.
It is clear that the current economic climate is continuing to restrict the sector's return to growth, with over half of respondents reporting visitor numbers/footfall down compared to usual/pre-Covid levels, accompanied by a drop in business turnover. It is vital that we measure this impact and share that data with Government. The summary report is available to read now.
