Arts Education Spotlight
|
|
Integrity School of the Arts is a homeschool enrichment program that combines the flexibility of homeschooling with quality instruction by experts in their respective fields. ISA is also an affordable space for local teaching artists to practice and educate students in their chosen craft. "The teaching artists bring with them a high level of skill and excitement to this unique community they are trying to create," said Nicole Green, Director of ISA. "The collaboration between the artists has led to the development of more community opportunities in vocal performance groups, chamber orchestras, and a community children's choir."
"The heart of Integrity is for students to use ISA's physical space to not only grow academically and spiritually," Green added, "but also in their creativity and then to propel them back into their community and their local church, growing the Kingdom of God with their gifts."

PACA Executive Director Named Chair of Inside PCPS
Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance Executive Director, Dr. Daryl Ward, was recently named the chair of the inaugural class of Inside PCPS. This new community leadership program is sponsored jointly by Polk County Public Schools and Polk Vision. Ward, who retired from PCPS in 2019 after thirty-two years of service, has long been a public school advocate. "I'm honored and excited to share with my classmates the challenging and yet rewarding work of the Polk County public school system," he said. The class meets monthly to learn about the inner workings of the school system and how community leaders can better support our local schools.
