Cultural Marxism Becoming Norm in Public Schools
Dr. Erwin Lutzer encourages parents to seek educational alternatives
Chicago, Illinois – Many school boards are making it clear they do not want to hear from parents. Nearly 50 million children K-12 are entering a new school year. Yet, it is estimated that as many as 2 million students will be pulled out of public schools and taught privately or in a homeschool setting by concerned parents.

Dr. Erwin Lutzer believes cultural Marxism is infiltrating our culture and schools at an unpreceded rate today. The destruction, or minimization of the nuclear family is part of the goal of silencing dissent, even if it comes from parents. “The radical left wants our children,” he says. There may be no greater example of this than the hyper sexualization of children – drag queens in classrooms, LGBTQ indoctrination, and the push for hormone or gender reassignment surgery. The big question, asks Lutzer, is “Whom do children belong?”

In No Reason to Hide: standing for Christ in a collapsing culture (Harvest House), Dr. Lutzer says the so-called “comprehensive curriculum” is a Trojan Horse. “Parents need to be warned, if possible, they must homeschool their children.” He encourages any alternative beside sending them into schools that seek to indoctrinate their children away from the moral values they were raised to embrace. “We no longer have public schools but government schools intended to undermine the role of parents, and we must face this reality.”

In both the New and Old Testaments, parents were told about the importance of teaching and training their own children. “Our most important legacy is to pass our faith and values to our children” says Dr. Lutzer. “We cannot allow our schools to undermine what God expects us to do.” From teaching sexuality, re-writing textbooks to show western values as evil, and promoting critical race theory, many public schools seek to undermine core values. “Most public schools are so pagan” says Dr. Lutzer, “that whenever possible, parents should find alternative means of education.” In greater numbers than ever before, parents seem to be getting the message and acting on it.
