The Amplify! youth gathering at Camp Valaqua was a huge hit! We had an amazing turnout from Saskatchewan youth and sponsors!! With a total of 26 people we were well represented! I am very proud of the youth that attended. They all showed great maturity, kindness and were so willing to be involved in every aspect. Parents, thank you for trusting us with your youth. I hope they all left with memories that will last a lifetime. ~Mel Harms **

Shekinah is looking for a truck to haul water to temporarily supplement our water supply. Ideal would be a 3/4 or 1 ton, or perhaps a smaller "grain truck". Needs to be in good running order but can have a nick or two on the body. If you have something you feel would work for us, please contact Ron: ron@shekinah.ca or 306-945-4929.  ** **

Shekinah Move-A-Thon, Sept. 17. Featuring classics you’ve come to love and expect (like a scenic paddle from the Petrofka Bridge to Shekinah, and farmer sausage lunch), and an exciting new partnership with Freedom Functional Fitness to offer a *new* 5k Obstacle Course Run, this year's fundraiser has something for all ages and abilities. Mennonite Church Canada

We will declare
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we have touched with our hands.
We will declare the Word of Life:
so that we might have fellowship with one another
so that we might have fellowship with God and with Jesus Christ
so that our joy may be complete
We will declare the eternal Word of Life.
Based on 1 John 1:1-4

The president of the Evangelical Mennonite Church Vietnam, Hong Nguyen, is visiting Canadian congregations, bringing stories from Vietnam. Training courses for women church leaders in matriarchal tribes in mountainous areas have been taking place recently. To help support these training courses and the development of a training centre (see photos) you can donate here:  https://www.mennonitechurch.ca/vietnam or designate your offering to Vietnam ministry in your local church.   ** **

Commonword

About those Fish …
A short 12-min film commissioned by Mennonite Church Canada that retells the story of Peter’s call to discipleship (Luke 5:1-11). Set at the lakeside, in a contemporary context, this retelling demonstrates how each person may be “caught and called” by God into a motley community of faith. Please feel free to use this film in congregational and other settings - https://www.commonword.ca/go/3078
